Hey there! I’m Lexi!
I’ve loved dogs from a young age and always dreamed of making a career out of it somehow, yet I graduated from college with a degree in a completely different field. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in journalism/electronic media from the University of Tennessee I worked in the news industry for a year. I realized this field wasn’t for me and decided to pursue my dream of a career working with dogs.
While I was growing up, I spent my free time coaching cheerleading and teaching private tumbling/stunting lessons. I went on to cheer at the collegiate level and continued coaching during college. This is where I discovered my love for teaching and working with people!
Combining the communication skills I learned in broadcasting and the problem solving skills I learned through coaching and sports; I connected with K9 Summit to pursue a career in dog training!
After completing an intensive, hands on shadow + internship program with K9 Summit, I am officially the team’s lead puppy trainer!
With puppies, patience is KEY! I have learned so much by working with these little fluff balls and setting the tone for their big lives ahead.
Puppy training is THE foundation to everything! And I’m so honored to have such an important role in that.
