We are so glad that you’ve taken the step toward seeking professional training! It can definitely be an intimidating process, and we want to make it as simple as possible. Yes! We can train your pup as soon as you bring them home at 8 weeks, or an adult dog because they’re never too old to learn!

Training success comes down to consistency. Both training options require dedication and follow through on the owner’s end. Many people pursue stay and train if they do not have a schedule that allows them to dedicate the time needed for the “homework” portion of the private lessons.

Yes, we do! Depending on the specific kind of training we are accomplishing, we will incorporate the necessary training tool. When used correctly, training tools are an amazing way to communicate with your dog to go above and beyond your expectations. With any training tool, there will be specific time dedicated to teaching our clients how to properly understand and use the training tool.

When used properly, the e-collar is a means of communication, not a crutch.
If your ultimate goal is to fade away this tool, you’ll find your dog picking & choosing when they listen because you’re picking & choosing when you incorporate the E-collar.
However, if your goal is to consistently use the E-collar as a tool to reliably communicate with your dog, you’ll find yourself gradually fading it away without even intending to do so.

The first private lesson involves the trainer getting to know your dog(s). Be prepared to discuss your concerns and an idea of what your goals are. Your trainer will work with you to come up with a training plan moving forward. Each private lesson includes homework that will be required for you to practice throughout the week in order to make progress.

You will need to submit a copy of your dog’s most up-to-date vaccines including rabies, bordetella, and distemper. It’s highly recommended that your pup is vaccinated for canine influenza as well. You can send a copy of your records to your trainer via text or email, or you can provide a hard copy at drop-off. You will also need to bring enough food for your dog’s stay along with treats your pup enjoys! No crate or toys are necessary, we provide everything else!
